WildFeed

Get paid to trout fish

Dry fly rises, nymphing runs, streamer eats. Trout fishing on moving water is what fly fishing is built for.

WildFeed pays you to go live from your trout fishing trip. Pick a slot on the Live Guide, go live from the river, get paid when you stream.

Season: Trout seasons vary by state and water. Spring opener is April or May in most states, summer hatches run June through August, fall fishing is September through November.

The pay

You only get paid if you actually go live from the slot. Beta.

Best for you: Dawn slots (4–9am ET) — Early morning is prime dry fly and hatch time on trout streams. Dawn slots capture the best hours before the sun heats the water and slows the bite.

What you need

Just your phone. WildFeed is in beta: iPhone via TestFlight, Android via Google Play.

Gear tips

•Chest strap or vest clip mount — hands-free for casting and landing fish
•Phone in a waterproof case or dry bag — wading means splashes and slips
•External battery in your vest or pack — cold mountain water drains batteries fast
•Angle your phone to see the rod, the water, and the fly line — viewers want to see the cast, the drift, and the eat

FAQ

Can I stream catch-and-release trout fishing?

Yes. C&R, stocked, wild, or put-and-take — any legal trout fishing is fair game. Stream the wade, the hatch, the fight, and the release.

Will the stream spook fish?

No. Your phone is mounted and silent while streaming. Trout spook from movement, shadows, and vibration — not from a phone running in your vest. Many fly anglers already film their trips.

What if I get skunked?

You still get paid if you go live. Tough hatches, spooky fish, and blown presentations are all part of trout fishing. Stream the real wade — bugs, water, and the pursuit.
